Education – emotion, identity & power

Education plays a vital role in our lives. It helps us to develop our personality in a holistic manner. It affects and communicates everything more efficaciously from womb to tomb. The study of education teaches and empowers the study of life. It enables us to feel and channelize our emotions in the path of optimism. It helps us to identify our own identity and establishes an effective personality in the society. Finally, it also makes us powerful to promote and create compassionate humanness in the world. Education is a synonym for Emotion, Identity and Power……

Education is an Emotion
Education is an emotion. It is not only the process of cognitive development but also a feeling, an experience, and an inner enlightenment of the soul. Education is a life experience which no one can take away from oneself but it can be shared or transmitted to the others. Positive emotions promote life - learning lessons and leads to maturity in the lifestyle. It enables us to understand and identify the social emotions, feelings and relationship in the society. Negative emotions confine the freedom of authentic social learning of the society. We need to feel the education and inspire and increase the values of an Emotional Quotient in our life system.

Education is an Identity
Education helps us to discover identity, talents and passions, shaping who we become as individuals. Education constructs and creates fabulous and inspiring identity of the person. John Dewey said, “Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself."  Our life is identified and qualified by education.

The identity which we develop by education will remain forever. The knowledge, wisdom, experience, values, character formation, discipline and culture that we gain through education creates an effective impact on our identity. Our identity is life and life is our identity.

Education is a power
Education is a cognitive power which empowers the person’s ability to form their lives and influence the world. Nelson Mandela said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”   It highlights the transformative potential of education. We can modify our pessimistic world into optimistic world through education. When we educate ourself we educate our inner power which is memorable and immortal.

Education is power - this insight is at least four centuries old, formulated by philosopher Francis Bacon during the Enlightenment. Education is the most empowering powerful energy in the world. It generates knowledge, shapes confidence, and breaks down boundaries to opportunity.
